Running a business means you have to keep up with the latest marketing trends, insights and industry news. But it’s tough to find time in our busy schedule to sift through all the noise.

Sorting through trade publications, blogs, social media, and more can feel like a full-time job. That’s where marketing newsletters come to the rescue. They bring curated news & insights straight to your inbox.

But there are hundreds of marketing newsletters out there. It can take a lot of investigation to find the most helpful ones.

To make your life easier, I subscribed to 93 popular marketing newsletters for seven weeks. I spent multiple hours every day reading all the emails in my inbox. Then I handpicked seven newsletters I found most helpful.

These seven marketing newsletters, created by marketing experts, cover every corner of the marketing world. They provide industry news, marketing insights, tips and tricks, case studies and more. You’ll get all the important knowledge in bite-size, easily digestible chunks.

Marketing Brew

Marketing Brew is a newsletter that helps you stay on top of your marketing game. Every weekday, it brings you the latest marketing and advertising news and trends. 

Marketing Brew doesn’t bore you to death with dry updates. It uses a lively and conversational tone. Their emails are also very easy to scan. This is very important for me because reading marketing news isn’t my favourite task of the day. It’s probably not yours either.

They also curate insightful articles from across the internet. A recent issue, for example, shared articles on starting a content creation strategy, factors impacting customer buy-in on lead generation, what TikTok’s virtual characters mean for businesses, etc.

The newsletter is operated by Morning Brew, the hugely popular business newsletter. They have a huge, experienced team. This ensures that the quality of the content is always top-notch.

Stacked Marketer

Stacked Marketer is similar to Marketing Brew. But unlike Marketing Brew, it focuses only on digital marketing.

The newsletter is scannable, well-written and free of fluff. In just 6-7 minutes, you’ll be able to catch up on all of previous days news.

Stacked Marketer also share practical advice. The latest issue, for example, explained how to use testimonials effectively to persuade customers to buy. Another issue showed how Calendly fixed its broken lead generation system and how you can apply the same strategies.

Demand Curve

The newsletter is written by Neal O’Grady & Justin Setzer, co-founders of Demand Curve. Demand Curve, a Y Combinator startup, has helped thousands of companies grow. They write from their experience. So their insights are incredibly valuable. 

Each issue is packed with quality content. You are unlikely to find this advice anywhere else.

Aleyda Solis is a widely respected figure in the SEO industry. She is the founder of Orainti, a boutique SEO consultancy. Her thoughts are always insightful and her curating skill is top-notch.

She also curates the MarketingFOMO newsletters. It covers social media, paid ads, content marketing, influencer marketing, and SEO. I follow a variety of marketing blogs through an RSS reader. So I don’t find many new links here. But it is still worth a look.

Growth Unhinged

The newsletter is written by Kyle Poyar, a partner at the venture capital firm OpenView. Previously, he was a Director at Simon-Kucher & Partners, a global consulting firm. Kyle also has excellent writing skills, You’ll find the newsletter both easy to read and incredibly insightful.

I subscribed to more than a dozen Substack newsletters. Growth Unhinged is my favourite among them. It follows a consistent schedule, and none of the content is behind a paywall. 

Neil Patel

Should You Subscribe to All of These Marketing Newsletters?

I have chosen seven standout marketing newsletters out of 93. But even seven newsletters are too many for most of us. My recommendation? Subscribe to all seven for a few weeks. Then keep only the ones you find most valuable.

There are many other high-quality marketing newsletters out there. I excluded some because they either aren’t exclusively focused on marketing or they don’t send emails regularly. If you have a favourite marketing newsletter that you believe deserves a spot on this list, feel free to share it!
